DESIGN COLLABORATION
Waves.STUDIO x ALCHEMIST
Waves.STUDIO was commissioned by the two-Michelin-starred Danish restaurant Alchemist to create a bespoke dinner plate for its renowned 50-course dining experience.

Waves.STUDIO created a bespoke dinner plate for Alchemist's renowned 50-course dining experience.
Inspired by the shape and green shades of the Skovmærke plant, Plate No. 27 was created as part of a sensory experience where gastronomy, design, and storytelling converge.
The collaboration began with a shared curiosity about what can emerge when art and gastronomy meet. Through a close and iterative design process, each prototype opened new possibilities for how bio-based resin could be used to support an experience that extends beyond the food itself.
The final result is a hand-cast flower plate, carefully handpolished and finished with a protective lacquer. Each plate carries subtle variations in colour, depth, and form, inspired by the organic rhythms and nuances of nature. No two plates are exactly alike, much like the dining experience they were created to accompany.
DESIGN COMMISION
Waves.STUDIO × THEBITE
Waves.STUDIO was commissioned by the fitness café THEBITE in Aarhus, Denmark to create a large-scale sculptural vase designed specifically for its unique interior environment.
More than a functional object, the piece was conceived
as a sculptural presence, one that interacts with the architecture of the café, the materials, and atmosphere of the space. Developed in deep dark tones with subtle golden nuances, the vase was designed to create depth, contrast, and visual harmony. As light moves throughout the day, the surface reveals shifting reflections and layers, giving the piece a dynamic quality that changes with its surroundings.
Just as THEBITE combines nutrition and gastronomy in an elevated grab-and-go concept, the sculptural vase brings together functionality, materiality, and artistic expression.
